I recently acquired this plaster skull on a whim, and decided to doodle on it for fun. Now I'm addicted and onto my next one. This particular fellow is now living in the office of a Funeral Director in Olympia, Washington. I can't think of a better home for him.
Cykochik Handbags, just in time for Fall!
The handbags I designed for Cykochik's Artist Series 3 :: 10th Anniversary Collection are now available for color customization and purchase! There are ten gorgeous shades to choose from, and each bag is handmade from vegan leather here in Dallas. Special thanks to Nikki Duong Koenig of Cykochik for allowing me to be a part of such a fun collaboration, and to everyone who came to the launch party at Gallery at Midtown!

A Summer Love Affair with Canvas.
Since the Red Bull Canvas Cooler Project, I've been a little obsessed with drawing on canvas. As with most artists, I've experimented with many different mediums, and I've come to the conclusion that paint just isn't my thing. I love the precise, portable aspect of pens and markers, and I'm determined to draw on everything and anything I can get my hands on! These 10x10" canvases were a lot of fun. I'm so used to working on pieces that are much more detailed and intricate, so it was nice to have a little instant gratification when working on these.
I can't express how much I love Sakura's Permapaque markers when
working with canvas. They are highly pigmented, never bleed, and remain
perfect underneath both spray and brush-on varnishes.
My next canvas project is a huge one. For the next 2 months I'll be working on the pieces I'll be exhibiting at SCOPE Miami in December. I'll be posting updates on those soon. To say I'm ridiculously excited is a huge understatement!
POP Art Show at Converge Artist Workspace.
I have several pieces in the POP Art Show at Converge Artist Workspace in Dallas! The show will run through October 14th, and a special closing reception will be on October 12th. Don't miss seeing this amazing line-up!
INK Exhibition.
I'm thrilled to be a part of my first all ink-inspired show! Not only is the line-up spectacular, but the show is being curated by a local artist whose work I've admired for some time, Christian Millet.
The show will be up at White Space in the historic West End in downtown Dallas through November 1st.
